Hi Graham, yes you are correct due to the position of the weather station it requires a number of personal to access it and due to corona virus restrictions it has not been possible to effect a repair, also the tempreture and humidity function is faulty. hopefully it should be possible to rectify the faults in the near future

Hi guys I noticed that the rainfall on the weather station is not updating, can you have a look at this and get it fixed please.

Visited the station for the first time yesterday 28 September on a cool but sunny day. We have passed many times on the main road but didn't realize it was open to the public We were both made very welcome. You could just see the isle of man in the distance. Very impressed

Hi all I am a Watchkeeper at Portland Bill having completed 20 years service. Checking out your website I'm impressed with your weather station. We obviously have a setup but, afraid it is confined to the Lookout. Sailors, walkers and others have to rely on us directing them to outside sources. Keep up the good work guys. Barry

On my ramble along the coast I was pleased to observe the volunteers keeping a close eye on the people and vessels passing by. I visited the tower to warm up and dry off. I have cut a notch in my stick to remember this memorable day. Stephen

Many thanks for restoring your weather page and as a sailor, I'm pleased that you have changed your wind speed measurements from mph to knots... it saves me doing the mental calculation each time. It is a wonderful facility for us sailors who live away from the coast to be able to obtain live weather information on a 24/7 basis.

The weather station was repaired on 23 November. In addition, all the records were zeroed due to a number of anomalies and incorrect readings logged since 2013. The wind speed is now in knots for our weather actuals on channel 65.

Although living in Blackpool this was our first visit to the station.Everyone was most welcoming and friendly from the volunteers to the full-time staff. Lots of information given in easy to understand language. great vantage points and views across Morcambe bay from North Wales, IOM to Lakes and Dales. Breathtaking.also lots of local detail as well. Will be back soon.

Congratulations on passing the assessment with flying colours! The problem now is, you have given next year's team an almost impossible standard to live up to. Paul
